Children enrolled in FBCCC’s Summer Enrichment Program visited The Centers for Exceptional Children this week to participate in a joint gardening project! Together with children attending the CFEC’s summer program, we planted wheat grass and learned how to grow and care for our new plants. We also created unique garden markers using wooden tongue depressors. We used fingerprints to decorate our garden markers, creating unique “insect” art. After the planting, we took a tour of the Horticultural Therapy Gardens on the grounds of The Children’s Center. Everyone had a great time, and we all made some new friends!
